  • Gastroenterology: nutrition relating to your gastrointestinal tract or gut health e.g Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or gut dysbiosis (an imbalance of bacteria in your gut)
  • Food allergies & intolerances: e.g. cow’s milk protein allergy or intolerance, FODMAP intolerances and food chemical intolerances (such as salicylates and amines)
  • Paediatric nutrition: otherwise known as children’s or kids nutrition. Includes all aspects of children’s nutrition from infancy through to adolescence (refer to Kidz Nutrition Services for further information)
  • Weight management and healthy lifestyle nutrition: from weight loss to improving your health and energy levels through nutrition
  • Sports nutrition: optimise your nutrition to maximise your training and performance in sports events and enhance recovery


Smart Nutrition provides individualised nutrition advice from Registered Dietitians and Nutritionists. Smart Nutrition has a clinic on Auckland’s North Shore and also offers telehealth consultations via Zoom and phone. This means that wherever you live in New Zealand and whatever your daily commitments are we can arrange an appointment that suits you from the privacy of your own home or workplace without having to battle the traffic.

Your initial consultation will involve:
  • Anthropometric assessment (weight, height, BMI, weight/growth history, waist & hip circumference if relevant)
  • Medical history
  • Dietary assessment including food preferences & aversions
  • Clinical advice, education and recommendations
  • A nutrition plan or summary of recommendations will be provided after your initial consultation (where appropriate)

It is often beneficial to book a follow up appointment to review progress and fine tune. We offer package deals for people requiring more than one follow up appointment – please enquire.
